San Miguel de Allende assemblage artist Joseph Bennett hosted his exhibition, Falling Into Place, to a sellout crowd this weekend. An avid environmentalist, Joseph re-purposes discarded trash and throw-aways into found art, each a vignette with a vivid story.
Attendees delighted in Joseph’s (shown here with partner Eli Hans) telling of the history and stories behind each piece, resulting in several successful sales, some to multiple collectors of Joseph’s work. Some of the components of Joseph’s work are even donated by the orphans he and Eli visit weekly, and he shared the charming tale of showcasing some of those works to the young boys who had donated pieces for inclusion in Joseph’s creations.
One lucky couple won the raffle for Joseph’s piece entitled Dreaming in Blue, and are likely fans for life now, as is anyone who has met the artist!
